Peter Murray is Chair of the East Lothian Integration Joint Board for Health & Social Care (IJB). At a meeting of the IJB on 28 March 2019 he said updated the meeting on the re-provisioning project and said:
We secured a grant from the Scottish Government which is enabling us to carry out the scoping exercise. We feel that it is looking pretty positive at the moment and we will soon be able to go back to our partnerships in the communities of Dunbar, North Berwick and Musselburgh to work on re-provisioning that meets local needs. We expect that the project team will attend the May IJB to provide an update on the overview of the process. The local project groups outlined in the December IJB paper will work closely with and include members from the relevant local area partnership health and wellbeing subcommittees to ensure alignment with local health and wellbeing plans. We would hope to involve representatives from other key local and county-wide groups, for example, friends organisations, Dementia Friendly East Lothian, carers organisations and other community interest groups. We want to ensure that a wide range of voices from the community are our partners in planning and delivering these projects.
