North Berwick Coastal Health and Wellbeing Association (NBCHWA) is delighted to announce that the Association has won an award from the Good Life, Good Death, Good Grief project from the Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care.
The award, for “Contribution to Openness About Death Award”, is given to an individual or organisation for their hard work encouraging openness around death, dying and bereavement. One example given was the recent creative writing workshops we organised in partnership with the Scottish Poetry Library.
One of the nominators for the award said: “You have put “death” at the heart of your work around health and wellbeing and created imaginative events to engage the community. Well done.”
Dr Deborah Ritchie, Co-Chair of NBCHWA says: “We are delighted with the award and to be recognised for our small contribution to a Good Death, Good Life, and Good Grief.”
