NBC Community Connections is a voluntary project tackling social isolation in the North Berwick Coastal area. It evolved through the NBC Health & Wellbeing Association, which is a subgroup of the Area Partnership. After a successful first year connecting nearly 60 local adults into local gatherings and activities, during Covid-19 we’re keeping members connected through telephone befriending and a monthly newsletter. We’re now recruiting a new Management Group to oversee our work, collaborate to help us become a charity and put our work on a firmer footing for the future. We’re ideally seeking two Co-Chairpersons to share this leadership role, and also a Secretary, Treasurer and Task Group Convenors to lead on specific areas of work (fundraising, befriending, becoming a charity, communications/events, future face to face/Scone Cafe gatherings).
Essential – experience of governance, chairing meetings (for the Co-Chairs); commitment to and understanding of the NBC Community Connections project’s work; ability to advocate for us to others.
Desirable – experience of fundraising, small voluntary organisations, becoming a SCIO.
