On 16th June at the Annual General Meeting, Tillie and Deborah stepped back from NBC Health & Wellbeing Association after 3 years as co-Chairs of the association.
The association is extremely grateful to both of them for the work they have done.
Commenting, Tillie said: “It has been a very busy and worthwhile 3 years.
“Many issues have been brought to the group and we have attempted to address as many of these as possible, either contacting appropriate outside bodies, bringing together and working with relevant organisations or setting up events and projects.
“Personally the work has been stimulating, challenging and fun and has probably kept my brain active!
“It has also meant working with great people, particularly Deborah and our treasurer Heather Love.
“There are very many other people from health related organisations and agencies, the Villages, the Area Partnership, East Lothian Council and community volunteers, who have become friends as well as colleagues. You know who you are and I can only thank you for all your support. It’s been a blast!
“I’m sure that the Association will continue to support the health & wellbeing needs of the area.
“There will be many issues arising from the pandemic but I know that the North Berwick area will rise to the challenge of identifying and addressing local needs.
“The Association is now in the very safe hands of Hilary Smith, Lorna Sinclair and Judy Lockhart who will take it from strength to strength.
“I wish everyone the best for the future – stay safe and well – and have fun.”
